Help Us Make a G.I. Bill Movie

Have a webcam and 30 seconds to help a fellow vet? We want to hear from you.

Helping vets go back to school is a major step towards creating 'the next greatest generation'. And this summer, we want to engage the American public in that mission. So we're creating a short web video featuring IAVA Member Veterans who are using or plan to use the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Here's how it works. You record a short video (20 or 30 seconds) in the following format.

  1. Tell us your name, where you're from and where you served
  2. Quickly tell us what you're studying OR what you want to study using the new G.I. Bill and why (e.g. to become a doctor)
  3. Close by saying "I am the next greatest generation"

Upload that video here, and then we'll cut the best ones into a short compilation. It's that easy. And it doesn't have to be fancy - click here now to watch a short sample video from some of our members.

Later this summer, with your support, IAVA will have the chance to win a $250,000 grant in the Pepsi Refresh Challenge to help more veterans get on the path to college. We're going to unveil the video as a part of that campaign.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill is the largest investment in veterans' education since World War II. And in classrooms across the country, you are already standing out as America's next great generation of leaders.

Help us give notice to the nation.

Thank you for your support.
